Jesus In Me Week 3 — Enjoying the Presence of the Holy Spirit

Jesus In Me Week 3 — Enjoying the Presence of the Holy Spirit

Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. — Hebrews 13:5

Praise God that our sin is forgiven! We’re made right with God through the blood of Jesus, the blood of God’s Lamb! ~ Anne

Hey, friends! Welcome to week three of Jesus In Me. How are you doing? Are you enjoying studying the Bible and listening for the Holy Spirit’s voice? Before we go there, though…

Do you know Jesus? Have you asked Him to be your Savior? If not, the Holy Spirit through Anne has a special invitation for you this week that I hope you take Him up on!

Praise God that through the blood of Jesus, through His death on the Cross, through His resurrection, and when He sent down the Holy Spirit, I can be born again into God’s family. I can become a new creation. ~ Anne

Many times I’ve wished I could have lived in the time of Jesus. I would have been like Mary and ignored the meal preparations, and the dishes, and the busy-making, and just sat at His feet listening and learning, watching His face, hearing His voice, memorizing His words. I would have been glued to Him! Wouldn’t you have been?! Sometimes I can daydream about what it would have been like to be with Jesus in person, and forget that He is just as accessible to me now because the Holy Spirit is Jesus in me. Do you do that, too?

When I come to the Cross, and I claim Jesus as my Savior, and I confess my sin and tell Him I’m sorry and I invite Him to come into my life, He comes into me in the Person of the Holy Spirit. ~ Anne

That’s why Jesus told His disciples that the Father would send another Advocate, one who would live in us, never leave us, and not leave us as orphans. Isn’t that amazing? We don’t need to have the physical, skin-and-bones Jesus in our presence because we can learn to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit living within us who is always there! Jesus could only be in one place, talking to maybe up to a thousand people at a time, but the Holy Spirit can be in all believers, talking to all of us individually, all the time!

His power is in us. He’s willing to impart His wisdom when we ask Him. He’s ready to comfort, ready to counsel, ready to guide and lead. No wonder David said,

Take not Thy Holy Spirit from me. — Psalm 51:11b

We don’t have to long for Jesus anymore. He’s here! We can enjoy His presence right now!
