Ternura: La revolución pendiente: Esbozos pastorales para una teología de al ternura

En América Latina y el Caribe, los niños y las niñas claman ante el Señor por una sociedad y un continente más justo y solidario. Ese clamor llega al cielo y debería también ser escuchado en la tierra. Para esto requerimos corazones sensibles que escuchen las voces de los más pequeños y sean sensibles con sus problemas más sentidos.

Dios es tierno y misericordioso, esos atributos nos deben servir como modelo de vida, sobre todo en la crianza y el trato hacia los niños. Una crianza con ternura busca sanar las heridas de la violencia y denunciar las estructuras injustas y opresoras que perpetúan la violencia interpersonal y sistémica.

Es indispensable una dimensión transformadora de la ternura, porque la crianza con ternura no podría ser una revolución si no denuncia las estructuras económicas y políticas fallidas del sistema capitalista neoliberal, que agudiza la brecha entre ricos y pobres. La crianza con ternura es un camino de restauración, formación y transformación. Ese camino no se hace solo, se hace uniendo esfuerzos y acompañándonos unos a otros, sin dejar a nadie atrás.

We need those who will listen to the voices of the smallest and are sensitive to their most heartfelt problems.

God’s tender and merciful attributes should serve as a model for life, especially in raising and dealing with children. A childhood upbringing in tenderness seeks to heal the wounds of violence and denounce the unjust and oppressive structures that perpetuate interpersonal and systemic violence.

The transformative dimension of tenderness is indispensable in parenting. Without it, a revolution that denounces the failed economic and political structures of the neo-liberal, capitalist system, exacerbating the gap between rich and poor, could never exist. A childhood upbringing in tenderness is a path of restoration, formation, and transformation. This path is not walked alone, but is done by joining forces, accompanying one other, without leaving anyone behind.
