Greg Garrett is the author of a dozen books of fiction, memoir, and nonfiction, including books on religion and culture, narrative, and theology. His The Gospel According to Hollywood received a starred review in Publishers Weekly and a “highly recommended” in Library Journal; other recent books include We Get to Carry Each Other, on the religious and political beliefs of the rock band U2, Stories from the Edge, on American cultural narratives of grief and suffering, and Holy Superheroes, on understanding hero myths in American culture. His book The Other Jesus, offers a vision of 21^st Century Christianity set free from dogma and angry moralizing. He also contributes to publications including Beliefnet, Patheos, Ethics Daily, Christianity Today, Relevant, and Reform (UK), and has discussed his work on or for National Public Radio, BBC Radio, CBS Radio, the Bob Edwards Show, National Review, USA Today, Christianity Today, msnbc.com, readthespirit.com, and many other print, broadcast, and web media outlets.

 Greg is an award-winning Professor of English at Baylor University, where he teaches creative writing, American literature, film, and theology. He is also Writer in Residence at the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest, a licensed lay preacher in the Episcopal Church, a past Fellow of the Cathedral College of Preachers at Washington National Cathedral, and a member of the Texas Institute of Letters. He lives in Austin, Texas.

Chris Seay is the pastor of Ecclesia, a progressive Christian community in Houston, Texas, recognized for exploring spiritual questions of culture and breaking new ground in art, music, and film.
