From the first word to the last, the Bible is about how much Almighty God loves us and it all points to the Person of Jesus Christ. The principal idea? Jesus. The single most important word in the Bible?
Jesus!
Remember André Crouch’s old song, “Jesus is the Answer”?
Jesus is the answer for the world today
Above Him, there's no other, Jesus is the way
It’s true! And, yet have you ever opened your Bible and felt a little lost like you were reading a collection of disconnected stories? I know I have! Without a Master of Divinity under my belt (a goal of mine), sometimes it’s hard to see how Leviticus connects to Luke or how the Psalms point to the Savior. That’s exactly why I have fallen completely in love with The Jesus Bible.
This isn't just another Bible on the shelf. It’s an invitation. It’s a journey. It lifts up one Name above all others: Jesus.
One Story, One Name
The heartbeat of The Jesus Bible is simple but profound. It reminds us that across sixty-six different books, there is really only one story being told. And that story is all about Jesus! From the very first words of Genesis to the final promises in Revelation, He is there.
I love how the Passion movement has crafted this edition to help us encounter the living Jesus in all of Scripture. It’s not just about reading history; it’s about meeting a Person. The introductions by Louie Giglio set the stage beautifully, reminding us that we aren't just reading a text. We are participating in His story. We are following Him!
Tools to Deepen Your Walk
What makes this Bible my absolute favorite resource? It’s the study features. They are profound, yet so accessible! You don't need a seminary degree to understand them.
- Book Introductions: Every single one of the 66 books starts with an introduction that highlights exactly where Jesus appears in that specific text. It’s like having a guide walking beside you!

- Articles and Essays: There are over 300 full-page articles and nearly 700 sidebar articles. These insights reveal Jesus in places I know I’ve never noticed before. Plus, there are six essays throughout the Bible that help you grasp the grand story of Scripture.

- Space to Grow: For those of us who love to jot down thoughts, there is plenty of room for notes and journaling. It makes the experience so personal.

These tools don't just fill your head with cold facts and data. They help you know Jesus more intimately and love Him more passionately. They encourage you to walk with Him faithfully every single day.
Designed for You
Let’s be honest, readability matters! If a Bible is hard to read, it stays closed. But there are NIV editions of The Jesus Bible that feature the Comfort Print® typeface with a comfortable 9.5 font size, making it easy on the eyes without making the Bible too heavy to carry.
The single-column text feels less like a textbook and more like a storybook. It invites you to settle in and stay awhile. All of The Jesus Bible are really beautiful including some artist editions, so you can pick the cover that you like best! Mine has the most gorgeous cover with beautiful art by Britt Bass. It’s stunning! It has a Leathersoft™ cover that lies flat when open and two satin ribbon markers… I love it!
A Resource to Treasure
Whether you are a new believer or have been walking with God for decades, The Jesus Bible breathes fresh life into your quiet time. It helps you treasure Jesus. It connects the dots. It reminds you that you are part of a much bigger story.
If you are looking for a way to deepen your relationship with God, I cannot recommend this Bible enough. It’s accurate, readable, and clear. But most importantly, it leads you straight to the One who loves you most. Dive in! You might just find yourself meeting Jesus in a whole new way.

Jesus and the Holy Spirit
One of the cautions in studying exclusively about Jesus is the implication that Jesus was and is separate from the Father and the Holy Spirit. While the truth remains mysterious, the Bible clearly teaches that God exists in three persons, the Trinity. The Bible does not use that term, but it is impossible to understand the Bible’s teaching without embracing this reality. Luke in his writings (Luke and Acts), focused on the Holy Spirit to provide insight into Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Here’s an overview:
The Holy Spirit filled John the Baptist in his mother’s womb (Luke 1:15-17).
The Holy Spirit was the agent of divine conception with Mary, the mother of Jesus (Luke 1:35).
The Holy Spirit filled Zacharias, John’s father, so he could prophesy about the Messiah (Luke 1:67-75).
At Jesus’ baptism, the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove as God the Father spoke (Luke 3:22).
The Holy Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil (Luke 3:1-13).
The Holy Spirit empowered Jesus as He began His earthly ministry (Luke 4:14-21).
Jesus spoke of the Father giving the Holy Spirit as He taught His disciples about prayer (Luke 11:1-4, 13).
The Holy Spirit filled Jesus’ disciples at Pentecost and empowered them to preach the Good News (Acts 2:1-21).
Before His crucifixion, Jesus encouraged His disciples with deep spiritual realities about the Father and the Holy Spirit. He said,
If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to help you and be with you forever — the Spirit of Truth. — John 14:15-17
Then, as the disciples struggled to understand, Jesus said,
I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you. — John 14:18-20
