If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. — Romans 8:11
Success is merely failure turned inside out.
If we look at the Easter story, we see that Good Friday was an absolute disaster.
The disciples panicked and fled. Then, on Easter Sunday, Christ rose from the dead. He visited His disciples on the shores of Galilee. He called to them, asking if they’d caught anything.
When they replied, “Nothing,” He told them to throw the net on the other side; and they caught 153 fish (John 21:11). The first miracle was that the net never broke, and the second was the sheer quantity of fish. The lesson is to step out in faith, even after failure, because God can work with that.
I was recently called down to the coastal area of Zululand, an extensive sugarcane area, where farmers were experiencing a terrible drought. We came before God at a huge school sports field — farmers, townsfolk, young, and old. We repented together, and prayed for Jesus to send rain.
Within a few days, God opened the heavens and the rain bucketed down for days.
There is nothing that is impossible for the Lord — even when it seems all is lost. We can be confident putting our trust in Him, because He has the power to turn everything around.
PRAYER: God, You know my many failures. I trust that You have the power to change them to successes! Amen.
