To live is Christ… — Philippians 1:21
Well, I don’t know about you, but this has been one of my favorites of the FaithGateway Bible studies!

Get Out of Your Head was a huge perspective changer for me. How about you? Just remembering that this life is short, God is good, and we have good work to do for the Kingdom, so let’s not waste time on spinning and spiraling was epic. Toxic thinking isn’t the place of joy… Jesus is! Joy comes when we quit the spin and fix our eyes on Him!
You are not helpless against your thoughts. God gave us tools. And together we’re going to learn how to break spirals and see what God can do with a mind that is completely and wholly focused on Him. ~ Jennie
Life can be so very hard. And, God definitely takes us down some twisty curves, blind alleys, and steep declines that can rattle and unnerve the best of us. Cause us to spin out. Freak out. Question. Doubt. Fear. Sink. I love that in Philippians, Paul sets the tone for us with trust and praise. If we decide to go all in with Jesus, we’re going to face some intense spiraling, but in Him, fears, and freak outs do not get the victory.
We can’t lose sight of who holds the key to our hearts. When Jesus is our first love, when He holds primary place, our souls are ordered correctly.
If the aim is Jesus Christ, it doesn’t matter what the world takes from you. They can’t screw your life up. Because they cannot take your aim away. They can’t take God away from you. ~ Jennie
We’ve got spend time in His presence. The enemy knows the power of the time we invest in our relationship with God, so he’s hell-bend to distract us, right?
All Hell is against you meeting with Jesus. ~ Jennie
Remember love God, love others? The warning sign should read: Don’t do Christianity alone.
We were built for connection. We were made to love and be loved in friendship and community. Helping one another, urging one other onward, speaking back against lies, and speaking truth into each other’s hurts and wounded places. For the good of ourselves and for the Kingdom of Jesus! And because we are so very loved by our Lord!
What a reason to celebrate!
The clarion call for us is: Think on these things… Fix our minds on…
Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things. — Philippians 4:8
If Paul could sit in a jail cell knowing the executioners axe was waiting for him and yet still encourage us not to worry and to think about what is good, then so can we!
Find the joy right now.
Don’t wait to rejoice.
Live rejoicing!
Laugh, enjoy, smile, sing, dance, rejoice, look forward with happy hope!
Let’s get out of our heads and look to Jesus, our Savior, King, Redeemer, and our JOY!
