Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. — James 1:17 NIV
Hi, friends. It’s a brand-new day. The start of something new. The past is behind us. The sun has risen. A new season is ahead. As you look out over the day or the year ahead, what will you do with the time? Will you proactively plan it or will you allow it to happen to you as it may? Will you embrace change and growth, or is this a time to strengthen yourself for all that’s ahead? At the end, how will you reflect on the time? Grateful for your steadfastness and adventurous spirit? Happy you rested when necessary and took care of yourself?
Spend some time today creating a bucket list for the next one hundred days. Consider the memories you’ll be glad you made and the goals you’ll be glad you reached, as you look back over this time. We never know what lies ahead, but we can know a few things for sure:
- God’s love and provision never change. They are sure and steady.
- Each moment we have is a gift.
Together, over the next one hundred days, let’s use our time wisely and practice gratitude for God’s mercies and delights.
What big or small memories do you hope to make this year? Do you have a goal to read one book every month? Or to strengthen your body? Or to go on a camping trip with your family? Today, write your bucket list for the next one hundred days and even the next year and put those plans on your calendar.
