I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet. So you also should wash one another’s feet. I have given you an example. You should do as I have done for you. — John 13:14–15
Master Moment
Jesus taught that when we love and respect others, we show God how much we love Him.
Ways of Wisdom
Even though He was God, Jesus washed each of the disciples’ feet. His friend Peter wanted Jesus to stop. But Jesus said He had to do it. Jesus wanted them to understand what it means to love and serve other people.
Use the Force
Jesus, You washed Your disciples’ dusty feet. I can open the door for my mom when her arms are full of groceries. I can pull weeds with Dad. You gave me the example, Jesus. I will love and help others!

They will be like the dust of the earth that can’t be counted. — Genesis 28:14
Master Moment
God takes every promise He makes seriously.
Ways of Wisdom
God promised Jacob some wonderful things. God said He would give Jacob so many children and such a big family that Jacob would not be able to count them all! God said He would give Jacob the land he was on. God kept His promises.
Use the Force
God, in many times and places You have made promises to Your people. You promised to be with all of Jacob’s children, so I know You will be with me. Thank you, God, for keeping Your promises!
