You may have heard of advent countdowns to Christmas, but what about a countdown of Thanksgiving Bible verses for the month of November? Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays! It’s a time to give thanks to God for all the blessings of the year, and for all that God provides. And that is why this year I’m excited to partner with FaithGateway to give you a free printable of 28 Thanksgiving Bible verses!
As we approach Thanksgiving, you can use our 28 Thanksgiving scriptures to count down to the big day. Simply download the free Thanksgiving printable (PDF file), print it onto paper or card stock, and you’ll have Bibles Verses about giving thanks for every day between November 1-28. Our free Thanksgiving scriptures printable includes prompt questions for each day that you can also use for table conversation at breakfast or dinner with your family.
This is a great activity to teach your kids thankfulness not just one day of the year, but every day leading up to Thanksgiving! One thing you can do with your Thanksgiving scripture cards is turn over to the back of each card, and each day take turns writing something for which you are thankful. You can then make your own “Giving Thanks” or “Thanksgiving Blessings” jar!
Put your Thanksgiving Blessings jar in the middle of your family table or living room, and on Thanksgiving day, have your children take turns picking from the jar and read aloud all the blessings that were written throughout the month.
I pray that these Thanksgiving scriptures will help you read God’s Word and get your hearts and minds in a thankful place this season! Here’s a look at the first 7 days of Thanksgiving Bible verses, and be sure to get our free downloadable Thanksgiving printable for all 28 days.
