But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to Heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God… — Acts 7:55
Jesus stands for you. ~ Kristy Cambron
Hey, friends! It’s week three of the Verse Mapping: Acts Online Bible Study. Last week we talked about being seen, known, named, and claimed by God and this week, grab your goggles, because we’re diving in even deeper.
God wants us to be whole. ~ Kristy
I don’t know about you, but there have been times when I’ve been in a big trouble situations that I’ve felt very alone. I’ve asked questions like, “God, where are You? Don’t You see what’s going on here? Why don’t You do something?”
It’s taken years and a lot of Scripture-digging to know in my knower that God sees the big picture… to really trust in battering tempests that Jesus faces down our storms for us and with us. It’s taken Jesus showing me time and time again proving Himself that He loves me and being there for me to believe that when we’re in the thick of it, He really is with us. His love is with us. Is that true for you, too? Are you as slow to learn as I am? God sure is patient with me!
We can move forward into the view beyond eternity no matter how painful and scary it may be knowing that whatever happens in the earthly life creates a new version of ourselves in the eternal one. ~ Kristy
One of the blessings of having gone through a lot in this life is that we yearn for the next one even more! And one of the blessings of having loved ones already in Heaven is that we have one foot already in eternity with them and are eager for that reunion! Focusing on eternity is a beautiful reward, right?
I want to be overflowing with faith when I don’t understand – just like Stephen, even unto his death. No matter what the cost.
Feasting on the promises of God isn’t just when the table is set with plenty. When there are lean moments, the ones that stretch us and force us into the most uncomfortable and unknown territory, it’s those times that fill much more than the plentiful ones. ~ Kristy
I want to only have eyes for God like brother Stephen. Don’t you? It makes me teary just to think about it!
Not many people will know your story. But, Jesus does. And when you’re in a storm and you remain faithful to Him, Jesus stands. He’s with me. And, He’s with you.

Prayer for the Week
Jesus, we love You! Grow our faith to be like Stephen! We want that boldness of faith. We want to know that we know that we know even when we don’t see. Help us in seasons of storms to know that You are with us and for us, that You stand. We love You, Jesus!
