When things go wrong or something bad happens to you, do you often ask, Why me?
One of the most common questions people ask me is, “Do you often ask God why this happened to you?” I suppose I did think of that question. But I sure don’t dwell on it. God has His reasons.
I can now see that God is using me in a unique way to tell others about Him. God is working in and through me. And it’s pretty awesome to be a part of that.
There are lots of stories in the Bible about challenges people went through. One guy, named Job, had all kinds of bad things happen: his whole family died, he lost all his livestock and possessions, and then on top of that he got boils. He didn’t have a clue why any of this stuff was happening to him.
His wife told him to blame and curse God. But he wouldn’t do it. In all Job’s suffering and pain, he still praised God and trusted that God would heal him.
It’s normal to wonder why, but you can trust that God has a plan and that He loves you. He will see you through anything.
God’s Words Inspire
My salvation and my honor depend on God, He is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge. – Psalm 62:7-8
Chatting with God
Oh God, help me to believe that no matter what happens You will stay by my side and see me through anything. I put my trust in You, for there is nothing or no one mightier. In Jesus’ Name, amen.

Surfers have to have exact timing and sharp reflexes to stay balanced. They also need to trust their instincts as to what a breaking wave will do.
