Hey, friends! It’s our final of the Galatians Online Bible Study. Has this study just been the best? I have loved it and hope you have, too! This week it gets even better.
Love your neighbor as yourself. — Galatians 5:14
One of the most unimaginable things that happens in our own restoration is that we get to help others. That is the very last thing we could possibly see or expect to happen when we’re in the middle of the mess, but it’s true. As we’re walking out of the flames, we see others burning and we carry buckets of water to them, too…because we get it, we relate, and we empathize with their suffering!
All of this, my friends, is love.
Walking in the spirit means walking in love, restoring them in love when they fail.
Jesus saw us. Our transgressions caught us. And He restored us with gentleness. ~ Jada
The truth is important, but when people are down, when people are already weak and already broken, gentleness, love, kindness… those are the things that bring the transformation that Jesus Christ has asked us to bring by loving others well. ~ Jada
When someone shows you their weakness, it’s an honor, it’s a privilege. We can’t get all Christian-y and uppity on them. That’s not helpful or kind (or real!). I just had this experience this week and it brought me to my knees. Jesus showed me the tender heart of this person who told me his brokenness and… it reminded me of how God runs to me in my own distress. He runs and He covers my sins, weaknesses, and fragility with Himself, cleans me up, and restores me. That is what we’re called to do, friends.
For if anyone thinks He is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. — Galatians 6:3
We’re nothing without Jesus. Nothing. Anyone who thinks he’s a big deal without Jesus is nada.
What we sow, we reap. God is not mocked.
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. — Galatians 6:9
Keep doing good. Don’t get tired. Rest. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Keep giving your love and encouragement to brothers and sisters in Jesus.
We are fully accepted and loved in Jesus Christ so we can give that away to others freely!

Prayer for the Week
Abba, we love You! Thank You that we are so loved that it can pour out onto others. Thank You that in our restoration we can help others to be restored! Help us to be loving and kind when others fail. Even if we don’t understand their particular brand of failure, remind us that we’re sinners, too, and help us to love as we have been loved. We love You! Amen.
