    Gary V. Smith (PhD, Dropsie College) is a retired professor of Christian Studies at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. He previously taught Old Testament and Hebrew at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Bethel Theological Seminary, and Winnipeg Theological Seminary. He is author of a number of books, including Hosea, Amos, and Micah for the NIV Application Commentary series and Isaiah in the New American Commentary series. Dr. Smith and his wife Susan live in Jackson, Tennessee.



    Daniel I. Block (D.Phil, University of Liverpool) is Gunther H. Knoedler Professor Emeritus of Old Testament, Wheaton College.
