You Believe in Eternity. So Why Does Life Still Feel This Heavy?
You believe the right things. You’ve kept going, even when faith has felt more like a burden than a lifeline. But when life disappoints, you spiral. When the hard thing hits, you can’t find solid ground. And if you’re honest, most of your mood is shaped by how your week is going—not by what you say you believe about forever.
That’s not a character flaw. It has a name: eternity amnesia.
According to pastor and bestselling author Paul David Tripp, the problem isn’t that you’ve failed at faith. It’s that you’ve been asking right now to do what only forever can. When this life becomes the destination, every disappointment feels like a verdict. Every unmet expectation whispers that something is wrong—with you or with God.
Hardwired for Forever names that struggle—and shows you a way through it.
This isn’t a book about end times or the geography of heaven. It’s about right now—why keeping eternity in view is the only thing that makes the present livable, meaningful, and genuinely hopeful. With pastoral wisdom and biblical clarity, Tripp shows how God placed eternity in your heart not as distant comfort, but as a present lens that reshapes everything.
In these pages, you’ll learn how to:
- Name the real problem — Stop wondering “What’s wrong with me?” and understand why life without an eternal perspective always feels unstable
- Find stability in suffering — Discover why hardship feels so crushing—and how to hold it with steadier hands
- Close the gap between belief and Monday — Move from knowing truth to actually living from it
- Replace functional hopelessness with durable hope — Experience how what’s coming transforms what’s happening
- Live from purpose, not just through the week — Build a perspective that doesn’t collapse under pressure
You were made for more than survival. God didn’t wire you for forever just to leave you stranded in the temporary.
Hardwired for Forever will help you stop asking this life to be what it was never meant to be—and start living from the hope that actually holds.
