Find the courage and determination to keep fighting even when life's challenges are heavy and daunting.
When life turns up the heat and everything inside of you wants to give up, will you face the flames? Will you keep the faith? Will you keep fighting until God does the miraculous?
Pastor Shawn Johnson found himself asking these questions after he received a devastating diagnosis that made him want to give up on everything, including his faith and his future. The turning point for Shawn was a phone call from a friend and UFC fighting coach who told him that this situation was not going to steal his joy, take away his peace, or change his calling. Instead, he said, “You're going to kiss this fire and walk away whistling.”
The phrase “kiss the fire” doesn't imply that it won't get hot from time to time. It's not saying there won't be hard days. It's a declaration that you're choosing not to give up and has become Shawn's battle cry. It acknowledges that you can get through this and will be stronger on the other side. Kiss the Fire will inspire you to trust that God is present and to tap into that inner fighter spirit. In Kiss the Fire Shawn shares:
- The three reasons why you should keep fighting and refuse to give up
- Seven strategies you need in order to kiss the fire and walk away whistling
- How to experience the amazing plans God has for you, even when you have no idea what those might be
This book is a lifeline. If you or a loved one are struggling to hold on, Pastor Shawn will show you how to face spiritual, physical, and emotional battles with determination and tenacity. It will give you the faith, the encouragement, and the tools you need to persevere through whatever you are going through, so that one day you can look back and with all sincerity say, “Thank God I didn't give up, because look what God has done!”
