SPANISH ORIGINAL: Persona, pastor y mártir is structured in three parts. The first one deals with the pastoral ministry from a personal perspective, considering aspects as the human nature of the pastor, his condition as father, etc., interpersonal relationships within the church and outside of the church. The second part deals with the ministry of the pastor and its foundational aspects: calling, ministerial authority, leadership, etc., without ignoring contemporary challenges as the current spiritual environment, the accelerated pace of life, secularization or the lack of personal commitment of the believers. Neither the dangers inherit to ministry nor its own financing are ignored. And the third part introduces the reader to that word of the title that may have drawn his or her attention from the beginning, which has been clarified in the introduction of this book: Martyr, as a witness to Jesus in its double folded meaning, as a proclaimer of his message and as payer of the prize entailed in it. The life trajectory of the apostle Paul serves as guide and model throughout the book, according to the accounts of Acts and his own writings, the diverse Pauline epistles that the New Testament contains. This book is dedicated specially to the multitude of anonymous pastors and their families that allow the work of God to advance and prosper throughout the world.
