Devotional books are terrific for so many reasons (let me count the ways!), but if you’re like me, the main reason I love devos is because, even though I’d love to have a leisurely hour by a cozy fire with my dog Maisy, Bible, devotional, journal, a doppio cappuccino, and a pecan roll (Hello, Instagram!), my morning time is finite and much less photo-worthy. So I want to spend that precious time with the Lord carefully, with prayer, Bible reading, and a devotion that packs a punch to launch the day in the right direction! Even if you only have five minutes, there’s a devotional for you. Check out my most-loved devo of this year by our friend, Sheila Walsh — 5 Minutes with Jesus.
