The World is Hurting and the Time is Now.
I am the Vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing. — John 15:5
You are the girl for the job.
Do you believe that? If not, then let’s add a “yet” to the end of that question. Because this next Online Bible Study with Jess Connolly is for you! And, it couldn’t come at a better time because the world need us.
You Are the Girl for the Job is for you and it’s for me. I think most of us really do want to have an impact for Christ. We want to live out our God-given purpose in this exact moment. We want to reach the end of our lives having dared to risk, having been boldly generous with our time, energy, and resources, having been known for our fearless faith that helped others and changed lives. But, all too often, we hesitate and hold back… we let doubt creep in and we’re afraid we’re too small, powerless, ill-equipped. In truth, we don’t believe God can and will do what His Word says. Instead we start to believe the words of a snake, the world, and sometimes even liars and haters, right?
Once, during a very low period I told a (very toxic) person in my life, “Sometimes I feel like I’m both too much and also not enough. Like I’m not a good fit, not adequate for anything positive.” He thought for a moment and then flippantly responded, “Yes, that’s true about you.” (Thus the toxic).
God never says (and godly people never say) that about us! He made us on purpose for purpose. He created us to be filled with the Holy Spirit and on mission for His Kingdom, full of power, might, grace, forgiveness, compassion, empathy, help, hope, and promise.
“How can any dreams or desires God has given us come alive if they’re surrounded by fear and squashed by doubt? Things born into captivity cannot flourish.” ~ Jess Connolly
The enemy would love nothing more than for us to feel incapable, ill-prepared, and under-qualified for the great calling on our lives.
But, here’s the kicker… it’s not really about us! How awesome is that!
Our inadequacies are where His glory shines.
Our lack is where He fills in with abundance.
Even our sinfulness when followed with humility and repentance is where His grace and mercy flow like honey.
My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness. — 2 Corinthians 12:9)
God has this miraculous capacity to see what we can’t see, to birth something for His vision for glory and beauty that is completely impossible in our own strengths, smarts, or abilities.
“You’re placed right where you’re at-in this season, around these people, with all the tools you need to love them and continually point them to Jesus… you are the girl for the job.” ~ Jess
Are you acquainted with Jess Connolly? We have featured her writing so much here at Faith.Full Women and the thing I love about Jess is that she is passionate about Jesus and encouraging and equipping women to live out their Kingdom-calling! She’s the leader of Go + Tell Gals, one of the founders of She Reads Truth, and is the author of Take It Too Far and Dance, Stand, Run, and co-author of Wild and Free and Always Enough, Never Too Much.
Jess is like the girlfriend (or life coach!) we all need to cheer us on, but through it all she consistently reminds us that we can only accomplish what God has purposed for us through His strength, not our own. In this six-week study with Jess, we’re going to tackle our fears, dream big, ask God for vision for the future, and be filled with hope and passion for purpose!
The world is hurting and needs us. God built us for this. Let’s do it!
~ Laurie
P.S. As always, there will be free resources! You’ll get access to all six study videos with Jess for free, plus printable Scriptures, first chapters of the book and study guide, and this is the thing I need the most right now: Jess’s downloadable INHALE/EXHALE guide.
“I pray these free resources will help you take a deep inhale of trust and exhale in praise during these tumultuous times.” ~ Jess
