Have you heard about our next community Online Bible Study, Goliath Must Fall with our friend and teacher, Louie Giglio?

For some of you, as soon as you read the title…. You knew exactly what your giant was. You didn’t need to think about it, because you battle against it every day, Or you may not be exactly sure what the name of your problem is because it’s not as clear. All you know is that something isn’t right and you want to fix it. – Louie

Even if we don’t want to admit it, even if our carefully constructed social media persona seems to have it all together, the truth is that we all have giants in our lives.

Giant issues, problems, and great difficulties loom over us and cause us stress, anxiety, and sometimes rock our faith. These seemingly insurmountable circumstances can overwhelm us and threated to destroy everything we hold dear. Fear, financial distress, alcoholism, drug addiction, health problems, anger, rejection, bulimia, mental illness… the list goes on and on.

And, they don’t just threaten. They jeer at us. Spit in our faces. Kick us when we’re down. Yell insults and smear our names and the name of the God who loves us. They are bigger than us. Stronger than us. And so much more fierce than us.

It seems like the giant will win.

And we will go down and never get back up.

And yet…

The enemy has been defeated. Jesus Christ has come on to this earth. He’s given His life for the sins of the world. He was dead and buried. Raised from the dead to defeat the power of the enemy. The power of darkness. — Louie

Louie has faced giants, too. He asked himself this question, “How can we step into the power of what Christ has accomplished for us?”

What can we do? In this study, Louie dives into the story we probably learned as little kids — David and Goliath. But this isn’t the sanitized, flannelgraph version. This is the real story with flesh and blood. We’ll practice three ways to submit to Jesus and grow in Him each week as we trust Him to battle our giants: Act, Worship, and Proclaim so that God gets the glory in our lives.

Submit yourself to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. — James 4:7

Jesus has defeated the giants in our lives and opened a way for you and me that we can walk in the victory that Christ has provided for us. — Louie

Are you facing a giant today? Or several?

You don’t have to face your giants alone. Jesus is our giant-killer. In this study, we’ll learn how to lean to Him in all the areas of lives that are a battle – battles that we’re losing because we’re relying on our own power. We can’t. He can.

And, Goliath has no ultimate victory.

Goliath must fall.
